Tested Positive For ANA And DSDNA. What Do These Results Imply?
I just received lab report that my ANA screening test was positive and DSDNA was positive as well. this test result came through mail so I was researching what I could find out as far as what these positive results mean? I am being scheduled with a consult to a Rheumatologist but that is all the repot says. What does or could this mean?
Hi, Thanks for using healthcaremagic. These tests are done for a disease called SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) If these are positive it means that chances are high that you have this disease. There are a specific set of criteria for it. The rheumatologist will see your symptoms and confirm whether you have it or not and then you have to be careful as it can cause other complications. Hope it sorts your problem. Regards,
