The TSH Level Has Been 10.9 For A 2 Month Old. What It Suggest?

we hv been monitoring TSH lever of our 2 months old daughter as level was 13.6 at 7th day of birth. after a month it came down to 9.6 and at end of second month it was 10.9. t3 & t4 levels has been normal. please advise the implications and what should we be doing now.

Hi...you need not be worried. This doesn't mean - that she has hypothyroidism. Only if TSH is morethan 20 we need to be worried. I suggest you need to repeat the test after a month and recheck. if it is not above 20, you can be rest assured.
