The moment I wake up, my heart starts beating very fast and a headache starts. I decided to begin checking my blood pressure and it's high: my BP was 172/97 (pulse 80) yesterday and 190/106 (pulse 93) today. I feel like I've had a surge of adrenaline. My blood pressure has been in the 130s / over 70s. I'm wondering if it's high blood pressure that's causing the headache upon wakening. But why the sudden rapid heart rate/BP immediately upon awakening?
