There Is Straightening Of The Lumbar Spine With Grade 1
There is straightening of the lumbar spine with grade 1 retrolisthesis of L5 on S1. There are minimal Schmorl's nodes, but overall vertebral heights are maintained. There is diffuse loss of T2 disc signal from disc desiccation with loss of height noted particularly at L5-S1. There are diffuse degenerative endplate signal changes and osteophytic lipping but predominantly at the L5-S1 level. The conus tip is located at T12-L1. At L1-L2 there is mild facet arthropathy and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy without significant central spinal stenosis or foraminal narrowing. T2 prolongation posterior to the right facet is likely a synovial cyst. At L2-L3 there is trace disc bulge with facet arthropathy ligamentum flavum hypertrophy with mild indentation of the ventral thecal sac along with mild foraminal narrowing on the left. At L3-L4 there is mild disc bulge with facet arthropathy and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy with mild indentation of the thecal sac and trace right and mild-to-moderate left foraminal narrowing. At L4-L5 there is bulge with superimposed broad based right lateral recess/foraminal protrusion with facet arthropathy and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy with mild central and right lateral recess narrowing with moderate left and mild right foraminal narrowing At L5-S1 there is uncovering of the disc with bulge with facet arthropathy and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy with mild indentation of the ventral thecal sac along with mild to moderate right and mild left foraminal narrowing.
