Throat Congestion, Increased Heart Rate. Difficulty In Swallowing. Reason?

It feels like something is stuck in my throat, causing me to sometimes choke and it speeds up my heart rate. When I lay on my left side, it feels like I am choking and I began to cough. Sometimes, when I am sleeping, I am awaken because it feels like I am choking and cannot swallow (throat is very dry). Now, when I swallow, I can feel the lump-like and it feels like a pill is stuck in my throat.
