Throat Infection With Fever, Chills And Throat Pain. Severe Weakness. Is This Normal?

Hello Doc. My husband had throat infection ( viral) around 5days from now, he also had fever with chills, but temperature remaind just below 100 F(98F-99.6F). Consulted our Doc he gave no medecine for infection just acetaminophen for fever. Now fever is gone , throat pain is lot better, but he is complaining for weekness is this normal or some thing to worry for? What should we do for weekness?

Hi,

Your husband probably has a viral infection. Your doctor seems to have given the right treatment by advising only supportive treatment for the symptoms. Usually viral infection takes seven to ten days to subside. Sometimes it is accompanied by generalised body weakness. This should also subside along with the viral infection.
