Throat Pain When Swallowing, Blocked Ears, Feeling Hot Inside. What Should I Take?
M y throat suddenly (in the last 24 hours but especially so in the last 4 hours) hurts very badly when I swallow . My ears are stopped up and feel hot inside. The only thing that makes them feel better is when I eat and swallow which hurts my throat. I am 36 and never get sick. What should I take or do I need to see a doctor?
hi there, you are suffering from a throat congestion which is causing your eustatian tube to close up and that is why you are getting this closed up feeling. It could be due to allery to something or due to common cold or any infective condition. You could try warm saline gargle and taking a decongestent for a few days, if you develope any systemic symptoms like fever of cough with mucous or purulent discharge then you may need to take a course of antibiotics on the advise of your physician., for now use vix inhalations and decongestent tablets and these should help to relieve the synptoms . You could also take an anti-inflammatory to take care of the pain. Take care.
