Thyroid Removed. On Hormone Pills. Why Do I Feel Dizzy, Specially After I Eat?
HI MY THYROID BEEN REMOVED IN 2011 OCTOBER, DUE TO A ENLARGED GOITER. EVERSENCE I HAVE TO TAKE THE HORMONPILLS. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM HEALTH VISE BEFORE. IAM 60 YRS OLD. MY QUESTION IS WHY MY PILL OR SOMETHING MAKE ME DIZI? ESPECIALLY AFTER I EAT. THANK YOU ANNA
Hello, You are 60 years old. Your thyroid was removed 2 years back (simple goiter). Since then you are on thyroid tab. You have not mentioned whether you have DM/HT/IHD. If so are you on medication and are they under control. The common causes of dizziness are numerous. As you have not mentioned any other symptoms, the possibility of dizziness related to thyroid only to be discussed. You may be in a Hypo/Hyper thyroid state as per the thyroid hormone you are taking. Both Hyper and Hypo (indirectly) can produce hypertension which may be cause for dizziness. So investigate for thyroid hormone levels, BP, Sugar, ECG. If there is any problem you correct it. If the symptoms are not relieved we may have to think of other cause With warm regards
