I am 71, a runner, and last November, I broke a 1.5 by 0.75 inch chip off of my ankle. It was swollen, but, zero pain. The tibia chip was surgically removed, and in addition, my ankle was arthroscopically scrapped of the arthritis. I wen through the 12 sessions of physical therapy. It is now nearly October...my ankle is still a little more bulged on both sides than my left ankle. in addition, my toes are still numb. Is this normal, and not of concern?
