Tight And Uncomfortable Foreskin . How Would It Be Treated ?

Hello, I am 46, 5 6 and weigh 12 stone 12lb, I have high blood pressure . My foreskin keeps splitting when I pull it back to clean it, I am very hygiene conscious so I know it s nothing to with that. When I pull it back there appears to be a white ring around it which makes it feel tight and uncomfortable. I have seen my GP and she is refering me to a neurologist , what do you think could be the problem and how would it be treated. Than you for your time.

hi mr. at age 46 repeated cracks in forskin is generally due to incresed blood suger, get checked your blood suger, then see to a doc. white ring is smegma or a fungal infection. get checked. AMBEKAR

Thank you for your prompt answer, I don't think the ring is smegma because it is actually the skin on my penis that turns white when I push my foreskin back, there isn't anything loose that can be wiped away. I had my blood sugars tested quite recently and they were ok.

From your description, it appears that you may be having a condition called Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans (BXO) otherwise called Lichen Sclerosis of the foreskin. It is a condition which affects the foreskin which progressively makes it thick and leathery causing recurrent episodes of tearing. When it heals it will cause further scarring resulting tighter foreskin causing further tear. The solution to this problem is Circumcision.
