hi doctor my 10 months old baby girl had a MMR vaccine 10 days ago, on the 7 th day we noticed a rise in the skin behind her left ear (looks much bigger than swollen glands) ( 1 cm thick 1 cm length ) we get worried we made blood test her sgpt was 80 sgot was 110 and ldh was 440 all elevated and white lymphocytes were about 80 percent
Hello
Thanks for the query
Are you sure that your baby has been vaccinated for MMR. According to vaccination scheduleMMR vaccine is scheduled after 12 months of age. Measles vaccine is generally given at 9 month of age in India. After measles vaccination there is a possibility of mild measles in the form of rashes which usually subsides within few days. There are very few cases of Reye's syndrome reported after measles or MMR vaccination in which SGOT/PT get raised. Raised lymphocytes suggest viral infection may be mild measles.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor for further evaluation.
I hope this answers your query effectively
