Hi
Thank you for your query
The swelling in the eyelid can be caused by a minor trauma. If there is no discharge from the eyes and not painful it is unlikely to be an infection. Such swellings subside in 24-48 hours. You can apply some cold compresses over the eyelid and it should subside faster. Hope that helps.
God bless you
Hi
Thanks for your query.
There is hematoma formation due to injury to small blood vessels and it takes few days to settle.
Apply cold compresses over injured area and continue with medication as prescribed.

Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic, The eyelid swelling is due to impact of hit and the eye lid tissue contains loose tissue the blood, fluid tracks in to it. This swelling will decrease comlpetely in 2 to 3 weeks as the fluid is absorbed into blood vessels slowly. Hope I have answered your query.
