Hello, i slipped on wet concrete about 20 minutes ago. Within minutes i had a pool of blood under the skin. I have it elevated and a cold compress on it but the pain is severe. The swelling went down only a bit over the last few minutes but the pain remains the same. Is there something else i can do?
Dear Friend. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern. There might be local bruises due to injury. In case swelling, redness, movement pain is there, you should get an Xray of the area to rule out any possibility of fracture over there. In case only bruises are there, you can simply do ice fomentation and can take a pain killer. However i would also advise you to get a shot of Tetanus. This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me. Stay Healthy. Dr Anshul Varshney , MD
