Toddler With Fever. Erupting Tooth, Swollen Red Gums, Decreased Appetite And Nosebleeds. Strep, Ear Infection Ruled Out. Done Urine Test.
My 2 year 11 month old toddler has had a fever for 72 hours now. He has been complaining that his teeth hurt (upper molars are coming through) and when I looked in his mouth I noticed that his gums are all very swollen and red (even around the teeth not just popping through). He also has a very decreased appetite and doesn't really want to drink anything. He has had 3 nosebleeds in past 24 hours as well. We took him to the peds yesterday and they ruled out strep, ear infection, and did a urine test. Any suggestions on what else it could be?
