Tongue Soreness With Increased Sensitivity To Heat, Red And White Rings Around Tonsils, Painful Red Spot On The Back Of The Tongue. Had Tonsils Removed. What Could This Be?

Hi, i have had tonsillitis-like symptoms for a couple of days now and my tongue is sore and sensitive to heat. Although i had my tonsils out last year, where they were is red and has white rings around the edge on both sides. Today i have noticed quite a lot of painful red spots on the back of my tongue. What could this be?

It could be fungal infetion. gargling with Betadine Mouth Wash is helpful. You might require oral antifungal tratment if the gargle does no help in 24 hours
