Took Lisinopril, Aspirin And Multivitamin. BP Is High And Had Heart Attack
I take 20 mg lisinopril per day, plus 50 mcg levothyroxine, 81 mg aspirin, multivitamin, 1000 mg. Vit. D and 600 mg calcium. My blood pressure has gotten dramatically higher in the last month, probably due to my worry over my husband, who has had a heart attack. My doctor wants me to start also HCTZ, 12.5 mg. Will the side effects likely outweigh the benefits of this?
Hi, I read your query and would like to say that HCTZ is a good choice in your case and the benefits will outweight the side effect. The best thing in your case is to be relaxed to follow exactly the recommandation of your doctors and to keep your BP Hoped i answered your question. Dr. Benard
