Torn Meniscus On Knees, Torn Ligament, Osteoarthritis. Appointment With Doctor 3 Weeks Later. Recommendations?
I was recently told I have a torn meniscus on both sides of my knees, a partial torn ligament on my left knee and osteoarthritis. These were the findings after an MRI. My arthritis doctor is referring me to a Osteopedic surgeon who I can't see for another 3 weeks. Should I limit my use of my left knee in any way. The doctor had the nurse call me with an update and told me to see a surgeon.
The torn meniscus & ligament of knee needs to be repaired surgically, which will be done by the Orthopedic surgeon. Till that time, kindly continue the medications for Osteoarthritis. The use of left knee should be limited to prevent any further aggravation of the condition. You can also consult a Physiotherapist & learn certain exercises to strengthen your lower limb muscles without causing injury to the knee joint.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
