Hi,
Bulgy ovary indicates an enlarged ovary, be it due to cysts or development of multiple follicles at the same time. There is excess of estrogen production in polycystic ovaries and this leads to endometrial thickening and thereby excessive and irregular menstrual blood loss. Correction of the hormonal imbalance through medication, diet and exercise helps relieve the majority of symptoms in PCOD and pregnancy can be achieved. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
