Treated For Poly Cystic Ovary. Developed Bulgy Ovary. Is This Normal?
I am 30 years old and recently married. I had polycystic ovary in past(before 5 years it was diagnosed), but after taking medication it is cleared. But from last two months I have clots in my periods .I did usg. In report I do not have cyst but I have bulgy ovary. What is the meaning of it? it can be reduced by medicine or not? can I conceive?
Hi, Bulgy ovary indicates an enlarged ovary, be it due to cysts or development of multiple follicles at the same time. There is excess of estrogen production in polycystic ovaries and this leads to endometrial thickening and thereby excessive and irregular menstrual blood loss. Correction of the hormonal imbalance through medication, diet and exercise helps relieve the majority of symptoms in PCOD and pregnancy can be achieved. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
