Treated Urine Infection With Antibiotics. Area Around Urethra Red With Small Ulcers. Cure?
i am currently being treated for what i believe to be a urine infection but after a 3 day course the infection is worse. the doc has put me onto different antibiotics for a longer course but i have notice that the area around my urethra is very red and it also looks like i have some small ulcers on the inner labia around the urethra
The appearance of ulcers or sores could raise some concern, and in your case could show signs of a misdiagnosis.
I would urge you to either revisit your doctor and request for a vaginal swab culture investigation or visit another doctor for a second opinion.
As you have not provided your sexual status to me, it does make things a little difficult, but make surr you discuss the same with your doctor. If the vaginal swab test does not report anything conclusive then request for a urine culture and sensitivity examination which will help in finding the most suitable antibiotic to rapidly and accurately rid you of the infection.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
