Treating Osteoporosis With Actonel But Passed Safety Limit. Can Forsteo Be Beneficial?
Ref osteoporosis in elderly women. Have you any information on results of clinical trials on Forsteo? I am puzzled as to whether Prolia or Forsteo is most likely to be beneficial to me. I have been satisfactorily treated with Actonel - but I have passed the "safety" limit. My doctor is worried about keeping me on Protelos because of possible exacerbation of blood pressure problems.....
Forsteo has less side effect than prolia .So forsteo will be better than prolia.
Check your bone strength with DEXA SCAN and you can start medication according to level of osteoporosis, You need to start supplement of calcium with vitamin D, vit B12, I will advise you to do regular physiotherapy and exercises as my patients find much relief by these therapies.
You need to take diet rich in calcium and vitamin D.
