Treatment For Child's Red Scrotum With Fever And Sore Throat?

Hello, my 7yr old son has had a high temperature, sore throat and generalised malaise feeling for 3 days, he has been responding well to calpol and neurofen, but I've noticed today that his scrotum is bright red, he's not complaining of pain or tenderness and there's no urinary problems, do I need to seek medical attention for him? I hope I'm worrying over nothing but it looks so unusual, many thanks in advance for your response.

Hi,
As your son had cold and upper respiratory tract infection and followed by swelling and redness of scrotum.
This is possible that child might be having mumps and now given infection to testicle ( Orchitis ) which is common.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
