Just had a regular and lingual tonsillectomy. Today is day 2 post op and im absolutely miserable, the pain medication I was given (5/325 Percocet) is wearing off after 2 hours - resulting in my increased need to re-dose and up my dose but im afraid of taking to much asprin in one day. My ENT doctor is out of state until Tuesday - is this enough reason to goto the ER to readjust my pain medication?
hi, you can try a combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen after checking your dose. warm saline gargles also help to reduce the pain. start eating semisolid foods, it helps with the pain. regards, Dr rajksihori Godhi.
