Trying To Conceive. History Of Irregular Periods And Ovarian Cyst Rupture. Chances Of Pregnancy?
I too need help for anyone that reads this. My husband and I are also trying to conceive. I have started to exercise, eat healthy, given up soda in favor of water, and started taking vitamins(Multi vitamin, royal jelly, and DHA). I have irregular periods, and about 6 years ago had a cyst on my ovary that ruptured.
Since taking the vitamins and making the changes I have finally been able to have a period. I took primrose last month during my period up until my ovulation. Royal jelly is suppose to help you ovulate and there for regulate your cycles and all the other stuff I am doing is suppose to help too.
So I need your help. My period was April 14th, 2013 which meant I ovulated on the 28th, with high fertliltiy days all that week. My husband and I have sex on the 14th before my period started and on the 27th a day before ovulation. Before my period in April I spotted for about 2 weeks, and then had a miscarriage 2 weeks later, Then after that was when my period started on the 14th. I guess the egg must just not have attached right or something. I had very heavy bleeding, cramping, and lots of clots. When that was all done, I started my period a couple days later.
So 10 days after my period ended I started spotting again, some brown and some pink. Never anything that gets on the pad. I have been spotting now for going on 6 days. The spotting started mid day on May 3rd. I have never had spotting before my periods ever. My period is not due until this Friday the 12th.
What could be causing the spotting, after a miscarriage with heavy bleeding, and then a period right after that. Now spotting that is only when I wipe. I have read about implantation bleeding and I took a test last Sunday the 5th, and it was negative. Could it have been to early to test.
I am 30 years old, I have no medical insurance so I have never been diagnosed with PCOS, could that cause the spotting? I know it can cause you to not ovulate properly, and not have regular periods.
Please help, the waiting is killing me and I am so sad everytime we get a negative. Has anyone had a similar experience. Thanks
I am sorry that you are experiencing so much difficulty conceiving. There are different causes for irregular periods , one of the most common causes is PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). This is diagnosed if two of the following is present: (1) cysts on the ovaries , (2)irregular or absent periods, (3)signs and symptoms of high levels of male hormones such as acne, hair on face/chest/
This condition is associated with problems with conception. It is treated with lifestyle changes like the healthy eating and exercise you have started as well as the use of medication. One of the first medications used is metformin.
It is thought that ovulation occurs 10 to 17 days after the start of the last period. This time period is thought to be the best time to conceive.
In terms of the pregnancy test, this checks for HCG which is the hormone released in pregnancy. The levels can normally be detected in the urine 8 to 10 days after implantation so it may have been too early for the test that you did.
I hope this helps
