I have the problem after planning for second baby. Till that my periods was on regular basis. please advise me the reason for this problem Will I get pregnancy?
Hi,
Having disturbed cycles can be due to many causes; stress, over weight, hormonal disturbances resulting from the previous use of contraception or organic causes like PCOD, thyroid disorder or hyperprolactinemia. Firstly, you should exclude pregnancy as you are having only spotting. Visit your gynecologist for further follow up. Maintain proper diet and a healthy weight to stay in the BMI range of 19-25. Good luck.
Delayed periods can occur for a number of reasons including : (1) hormonal issues such as abnormal levels of hormones such as thyroid hormone or prolactin (2) inadequate diet (3) stress either emotional or physical (4) excess physical activity (5) PCOS which stands for polycystic ovarian snydrome- this consists of irregular periods, infertility, polycystic ovaries on ultrasound, insulin resistance, hair growth in places abnormal for a woman such as chin, chest , abdomen
Technically infertility is not diagnosed till a yr of trying to conceive, but you can consider visiting your doctor for an assessment to determine if any of the above is affecting your period. You will be required to do some blood tests to check hormonal levels.
Treatment is available to regularise the periods and allow for contraception.
hello rose thomas,
welcome to hc magic,
on reading your query,i came to your trying to get conceive,
just follow some basic steps to get pregnant
Use simple calendar to mark the day your period begins each month. Also track the number of days each period lasts.
Ovulation is most likely to occur at the midpoint of your cycle. If you have a consistent 28-day cycle, for example, ovulation is likely to begin about 14 days after the day your last period began If you have a longer cycle, such as 34 days,
ovulation is likely to begin about 20 days after your last period began.
plus,Over-the-counter ovulation kits test your urine for the surge in hormones that takes place before ovulation. Ovulation kits can identify the most likely time of ovulation or even provide a signal before ovulation actually happens
hoping answered your query,
let me know if you have future queries about the problem
