Trying To Conceive, Early Period, Light Bleeding. Home Pregnancy Test Negative. Early Test?
Hello, I have a quick question about early "period" during early pregnancy... My last normal cycle was 4/13. I then had unprotected sex ( with my husband) on the 30th. Then on the 5/8 i had pink only when i wiped. the following day (5/9) I had one semi heavy bleeding day with cramping... followed by 5/10, 5/11, and 5/12 of VERY light days.. often with a gushing feeling maybe a couple times a day.. with NO cramping... I am usually very regular lasting 4 days with heavy flow for 3 out of 4 days.. I took a home pregnancy test this am with neg result. Did I test too early or was that early period my actual period. We are TTC and I just wanted to know for my records to start the countdown again. Thanks for your help.
Pregnancy tests detect levels of HCG hormone. Blood tests can detect this hormone before it can be detected in the urine.
Normally this hormone is released 8 to 10 days after the fetus implants in the uterus. It should normally be detected in the urine at 2 weeks after conception. If you were sexually active on the 30th of April , at this point it should be detected.
You can consider visiting your doctor for a blood HCG level if you want to be sure.
I hope this helps
