Twisting And Pulling In The Stomach, Increased Hunger, Lack Of Concentration. Possible Reasons ?
hi ,its regarding my father who is 57 yrs old. he had a by pass surgery last year in april.he was fine till december.sudenly in april he had a feeling of anxiety and restlessness,he had taken medicine its reduced but now he has a problem of twisting and pulling in the stomach ,and hungry for evey 1 hour and unable to concentrate on anything.please help

Noted the history about your Father who had bypass surgery in past, now developed anxiety and restlessness.
The commonest reasons for twisting and pulling sensation in stomach can be anxiety in the form of a condition called IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome.
Continuous hunger and inability to concentrate can be due to the same reasons.
Hence I would advise him the following:
Consult a Psychiatrist for proper psychological evaluation, necessary investigations and get started on an appropriate management. This may help to cure the intestinal; problems.
If this does not help then consult a Gastroenterologist and get the investigations to rule out any pathological cause and get treated if found.
If all the investigations are normal then he can be treated for IBS.
