Twitching In Right Arm, Constant Movement. Normal Nervous Twitch Or Neurological Condition?
I have a 7 year old daughter and I ve recently started seeing twitching and constant movement in her right hand . IS there any way to tell if it s voluntary or involuntary? Also, when she was about 3 she went through a phase where she was blinking alot. I believe this is just a nervous twitch, but want to make sure it s not something neurological or something more serious. Thank you.
You can get an Electroneuromyogram (ENMG) of the muscles in the right hand done to rule out any involuntary neurological cause.
Clinically, if the movements are spontaneous and occur without the knowledge of your daughter, we can say that it is involuntary. ENMG will confirm any pathology, if present.
Most probably, it seems like a simple nervous twitch. However, get her examined by a Neurologist.
