Ulcerative Colitis And Rectal Abscesses Have Led To Blood In Stools And Constant Pain. Does It Sound Serious?
My problems all started with internal hemorroids. Continued with almost constant pain and since have had several fissure surgeries and rectal abscesses and ulcers. Now have ulcerative colitis, that I'm told is not severe, but am passing heavy dis colored mucus and blood and suffer almost unbearable pain. Can't seem to make doctors understand how bad I hurt. I never want to do anything. Am chilled and tired all the time. I teach and can't wait to get home and take a pain pill. Can you help me? Martha
Hello Martha . Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. As you mentioned that you are having Ulcerative colitis with mucus and blood passing every day. Since this is concerning as this may develop anaemia ,so also weakness and general debility ( seems as it may have developed ). In my opinion don't take pain killers as these drugs will further aggravate the condition . Consult a gastroenterologist and get his opinion regarding treatment of ulcerative colitis. Good luck.
