Ultrasound Abdomen Shows Significantly Growing Septated Cyst. Had Hysterectomy Previously Retaining Ovaries. Surgery Needed?

I had an mri recently and it showed a large cyst and they recommended an ultasound. Ab and trans. One month later I had the tests done and it showed a septated cyst that grew significantly. My ca125 test came out normal. Should I have surgery or wait two months for another ultrasound . Already had hystorectomy but kept the ovaries and I am 50 years old.

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
There are certain ultrasound criteria of the ovarian cyst which help us determine the nature of the cyst. Knowledge of these features are essential to calculate RMI (risk of malignancy index)
This is good that your Ca125 is normal, but enlarging cyst is not a thing that can be neglected.
I suggest you should discuss this with at least 2 Gynecologist before taking any final decision. You may upload your reports & send it to me for a more detailed answer.
Wish you good health.
