Ultrasound Report Saying Single Gestational Sac With No Embryo. What Does It Mean?
i just had my transvaginal ultrasound this afternoon. the result was that "there is a well formed single gestational sac with yolk sac and no embryo noted yet. msgs is 1.3 cm correspond to 6 weeks and 1 day age of gestation" i was afraid with the result because my doctor sounded as if there was nothing there inside.. can you pls explain clearly?
A well formed gestational sac and yolk sac are reassuring. Fetal pole is usually visualised at the 6th week. If not, there is nothing to panic.Fetal pole may be visualised in the repeat scan.
Have a repeat ultrasound after 2 weeks which will be coclusive.
