Hello,
I went through' your sisters scan report. She has heterogenous uterine myometrium and anterior wall intramural fibroid.
Uterus has basically outer muscle layer covered by serosa and inner glandular layer (endometrium) covered inside by mucosa. Some time endometrium may be present in the myometrium called as heterogenous uterine myometrium (adenomyosis). Your sister is having an intramural fibroid and she is having a left ovarian cyst.
The Dr has advised surgery.
You have not mentioned the following:
1) Age of your sister
2) How many children she has
3) Size of uterine fibroid and the size of the ovarian cyst
4) Her menstrual history
5) The symptoms she is having
Of course Surgery is indicated to prevent the complications. But the time of surgery depends on the unanswered questions.
Lastly one doubt - In the impression you have mentioned as Post operative status.
If so what surgery was done earlier
With warm personal regards
