Hi,

Thanks for your query.

From the information you have given,

Scan not showing a definitive fetal pole, HCG levels falling instead of doubling in 2 days ie if the tests are done in a reliable lab & the fact that your wife is having bleeding and pain, I am sorry to say, it looks like a miscarriage.

As this is very early , the miscarriage should complete naturally.
Its advisable to do a urine pregnancy test 3 weeks from now to make sure its complete.

15 % of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage. And the chance of a healthy pregnancy next time around is large ( more than 95%)

It is a difficult time for both of you but I want you to cling to the fact that the chance of a healthy pregnancy next time around is large ( more than 95%).

Take care.

Hi,

your wife's scan report is fully normal in all aspects (her part and baby part). Now you are complaining that she is having bleeding and stomach pain. This needs immediate medical attention in order to keep the fetus inside the uterus. Before medicines by way of injection and tabs, the most important thing is absolute bed rest and no tension. It is not a rare incident. It is a common incident. If you follow the Dr's advise till delivery, your wife will not have any problem.

Best wishes
