Ultrasound Shows Small Freefluid, Thickened Multicystic Endometrium. Differential Hyperplasia Versus Neoplasia. Gynecolic Correlation Suggested. Suggestions?
Hi, I had an ultrasound done.. the results are as follows; PELVIC AND TRANSVAGINAL ULTRASOUND: Clinical Indication: LMP end of November and spotting Prevoid urinarry bladder poorly distended. Uterus anteverted, 7.8 cm sagittal. Endometrium measures up to 2.2 cm in AP thickness which is prominent. On transvaginal scanning, there are multiple cystic spaces which could reflect hyperplasia versus neoplasia. Myometrium Right ovary 3.4 X 3 X 1.6 cm 8 cc and left ovary 2.8 X 2 X 1.7 cm - 4.5 cc. THere are small right ovarian follicles. There is a small volume of cul-de-sac free fluid. There is a small dominant left ovary follicular cyst versus paravoarian cyst, maimal 1.2 cm. OPINION: SMALL FREE FLUID AND THICKENED MULTICYSTIC ENDOMETRIUM. DIFFERENTIAL HYPERPLASIA VERUS NEOPLASIA. GYNECOLOGIC CORRELATION SUGGESTED.
It is important tha this condition has to be differentiated from cancer or simple hyperplasia. Please undergo endometrial biopsy for confirmation of the same.
