Uncomfortable, Dry, Scaly, Rubbery Skin After Applying Carmex Lip Balm On Genitals. Remedy?

Hi Doctor,
I have an urgent question. I put Carmex lip balm on my genitals instead of lotion after getting out of the shower. And now, my skin is very in that area is very dry and scaly. Is there an ointment, moisturizer, or something I can use to solve the problem and get rid of very slight sensitivity caused by the Carmex? It is not very painful, but is uncomfortable and the skin now feels dry and rubbery and it is very annoying. I applied the Carmex 3 or 4 days ago.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
thanks for the query.
You might have developed an allergic reaction to the balm.
Apply a mild steroid cream like hydrocort. This will give you relief. Take an anti histamine tablet also. Please meet a dermatologist if it persists. Thank you
