Uncomfortable Hernia Like Swelling In The Place Of Laparoscopic Surgery. Concerning?

Hernia like swelling in area where laproscopic surgery was done to remove cancerous tumor about a year ago. Causes some discomfort when coughing and after eating a large meal. Should I be concerned, will this go away on its own, can it get worse, is there anything I can do like exercise to help this or will it make it worse?
