Unexplained Bruise On The Inside Of Right Upper Inner Arm, Bump Under Skin. What Could It Be ?

hi i got a unexplained bruise on the inside of my right upper inner arm... its dark and has a bump under the skin in the center of it. and that area is normal skin color... like the bruising extended out from that stange little bump. wondering if i should be alarmed and what it could be. i really did not injure it and its a similar bruise to if i would have had a hard hit(lots of bleeding under skin) its 1 inch by 2 1/2 inches roughtly

Thank you for consulting HCM.Unexplained bruise is not always associated with serious illness but you must keep in mind that some serious illness also may be associated with unexplained bruising.Mostly the causes include:
-vessels weakens and skin becomes thin along with age
-acanthosis nigricans
-vigorous exercises may lead damage to small blood vessels
-bleeding disorders
-nutritional deficinecies like b12,folic,vitc
-liver diseases.
-sepsis
-inflammation of blood vessels
You must consult physician for a blood picture to done to rule out the blood relatedproblems at first and by asking you the associated symptoms they may finalize the actual diagnosis.Thank you.Goodluck.

have you got any injury?

do you have any family history of bood disorder?

have you experienced such bruises in the past?

usually such bruises are either due to ow platelet count or some coagulation disorder

i advise you to consult your doctor for clinical examination

you may require few investigations like complete blood count and coagulation profile after consulting your doctor
