Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I keep getting bruises on my arms for no real reason. They are always red in appearance to begin with and then change colour over time like all bruises do. They are not painful to the touch like a normal bruise, and there is no apparent reason for them to be there (as in I haven t hit myself or caught myself on anything).

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi and welcome to HCM
There are some very serious possibilities when a person has unexplained bruising, including various blood diseases and diabetes.
This kind of unexplained bruising is usually nothing to be concerned about, but it is generally considered wise for people to have it checked out as a precaution.
When people engage in physically taxing sporting activities, they forget about minor physical impacts, and some of those impacts might be forceful enough to cause a bruise.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
