Urinalysis Report Showing Straw Colored Urine, Presence Of Albumin, WBC And Pus Cells
i did urinalysis and the result shows that in macroscopic exam my urine color is straw, slightly hazy, reaction of 6.5 resulting to acidic, specific gravity of 1.015.. in chemical exam, albumin was traced. in microscopic exam, WBC Pus Cells of 50-60/HPF, RBC red cells of 3-6/HPF. epithelial cells many. crystals: amorphous urates is few. what this indicates?
Straw coloured, cloudy or milky urine is typical for a urinary tract infection specially when taken together with such a high number of Pus Cells and acidic pH of the urine.
Amorphous urates can mean you may have high serum uric acid levels. So you can get that checked and the decision for treating it would depend upon the results. if 11 mg/dL or greater (in absence of gout symptoms) need to be brought down to prevent stone formation in the kidneys.
So at present you need to drink lots of fluids and take an antibiotic for the urinary tract infection. usually a drug from the fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics should be helpful when taken for 5 to 7 days.
However if that does not help you may need another test to be done known as the Urine Culture sensitivity for identifying the exact type of organism responsible and the most effective antibiotic against it.
Dear friend , welcome to HCM,
your report clearly shows urine infection (a UTI). few urate crystals.
what was it ordered for?
do you have pain , urinary stones?
pl. send detailed symptoms.
if you have fever, pain on urination, pain in the abdomen, etc. pl. culture your urine and get antibiotics under doctor's guidance.
take care and good luck !
