Please interpret the following Urinalysis: Color: Light yellow pH: 6.50 Specific Gravity: 1.010 Albumin: negative Sugar: negative Character: turbid PUS Cells: *SIC TNTC /hpf RBC: 1-3 E. Cells: few A. Rates:Phosphates: None M. Threads: few Bacteria: Few Remarks: PUS Cells are too numerous to count / some are in clumps
Hi, The Urinalysis is suggestive of Urinary tract infections. The pus cells are white blood cells of body, which go anywhere there is infection. Sometimes they are without bacteria, the so called sterile pyuria. But coexistence of numerous pus cells along with bacteria is almost diagnostic of severe urinary tract infection. Regards
