Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Usually, coumadin is not given for tissue valves... That he is receiving coumadin means there are other issues apart from the valve - typical example is Atrial Fibrillation...
Pain and decreased breathing may mean several things in such a situation – Dressler’s / Bleeding / Infection / Heart failure and so on...
In addition to ECG & X-ray, ECHOcardiogram / LABORATORY work-up – may also be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
