Using Contraception Pills. Experiencing Delay In Periods. Advise?
Hi docter I have been using contraception pills for past 5 months and i didnt have any problem in my periods but from last month i only got my periods on the 25th of july and untill now i did not get my periods, still im on cotraception pills. I did two times my pregnancy test it was negative, docter could you please advice on this.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Usually oral contraceptive don't interfere in menses as you have noticed from last 5 months. Now amenorrhea is there so this is the cause of concern because home pregnancy test is negative. In my opinion consult a Gynaecologist and get an ultrasound of ovaries including uterus to rule out any disease. Good luck.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
With the contraceptive pills you should have withdrawal periods at every cycle. But without periods since 25th July, how can you still be on the pills. When you started taking this in the current cycle. So you have continued your hormonal pills and this might have affected your cycle.
If you can put the pills name it will be better for us to explain. No need to check for pregnancy test now. If this repeats again after completing the cycle of pills then you need further evaluation using USG abdomen and pelvis, Speculum examination and some blood tests.
Hope I answered your question. You can consult your doctor for further examination and management. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
Regards
