Vertigo, Dizziness, Tiredness, Redness. Failed Vertebral Artery Screening Test. What Is It Indicative Of?
My daughter just had a test for her inner ears due to ongoing episodes of vertigo. She passed the inner ear tests, but failed the vertebral artery screening test. she became very dizzy, tired and her cheeks became BRIGHT red. What will be our next step other than seeing the ENT? She has been having these spells close to a few months now, and is age 11.
Hello, vertigo at age of 11 yrs is less common . You should rule out her vision problem ie get her eye sight checked and the orbital pressures checked . In ent get her nasal sinuses and adenoids checked .As serous otitis media is a major cause for vertigo in children .Which occurs due to the blockagfe of eustachian tube (a tube which connects the back of nose and middle part of ear) because of blockage caused by the adenoids behind the nose.
