Very Low Flow For 3 Days, Then Heavy Flow With Cramps And Diarrhea. Why This Change ?

Hello, I'm 37 years old and for the last year my menstrual cycle has changed. I have a very low flow for about 3 days and then have a very heavy flow, where I have cramps and diarrhoea (so what use to happen on Day 1!). I will then bleed for 3-4 days. This is beginning to worry me as I don't have children yet and was wondering if this is going to be a symptom of something that might affect my fertility. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,
You are 37/F. Why the delay in having a child. Mild bleeding during the initial period then heavy bleeding associated with cramps and diarrhea is a common menstrual history for ladies. Otherwise your menstrual cycle is regular and you don't have any other symptoms.
I assume that you are not anaemic. Any investigations were done for infertility so far?
If no, start with USG abdomen to evaluate your reproductive organs and follow up investigations and treatment.
If the semen analysis is not done for your husband, ask him to do it
With the results if you consult a Dr she/he may guide you properly.
Best wishes
