Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Weight Loss. History Of Glandular Fever. Blood And Urine Test Normal
Hi, I have been throwing up on and off for the last 5 months. I just had blood and urine tests come back fine. Every time I eat I feel sick. My stomach hurts really bad- after and during throwing up. My doctor says it might be a nervous disorder. But I have been able to eat so little this year that I have lost 12kgs. I am 19 and now weigh 60kgs. I did have Glandular Fever last year. I kind of want to go on anxiety medication but I have epilepsy and used to take Tegratol CR 200. It made me sleep through class and people said I was less happy.
Blood and urine test is not enough to establish what is causing your problem. Such symptoms can be caused by stomach issues like peptic ulcers, stomach inflammation, Helicobacter Pylori infection; or by inflammatory bowels disease (Crohns disease). Weight loss is a very serious symptom.
I suggest you to do not wait anymore. Please visit your doctor, have abdominal ultrasound, abdominal X-ray and gastroscopy done. If all this tests will be negative, abdominal CT with oral contrast (enteroclysis) should be also done.
Hope this will help. Regards.
