General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi ! Possibly there is a hematoma (collection of blood) in the area which is gradually getting organised. Any injury to the shin and ankle is quiet painful, which goes slowly. The swelling is more prominent because of lack of much subcutaneous tissue around the area. There is a remote chance of it getting infected as well. If it persists, and gives rise to trouble, then you should visit a orthopaedic surgeon who may advise you for an ankle support, and if not relieved then may be a repeat x ray or a plaster slab to give complete rest to the joint.
Wishing you an early recovery.

General & Family Physician Dr. S. Jegadeesan's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your inquiry.
You were injured in the shin near your ankle joint (assumed). Swelling and pain were there. X-Ray taken. Found no fracture. Oedema has come down but not totally. Your ankle joint has a painful swelling.
Fracture was ruled out by the X-ray. But a haematoma may be there which might have increased in size because of your weight bearing and not taking rest. Tendon injury is rare at that spot.
What you need may be
POP application
Non weight bearing at least for 7 to 10 days
Foot end elevation
Antibiotics to prevent infection if there is a haematoma and pain killers
I suppose with this line of management you will be alright
Good wishes for a speedy recovery
