Wasp Sting, Inflamed And Hard Area, Bleeding When Squeezed. What To Do?
my girlfriend was stung by a wasp 2 weeks ago. The area became very inflamed and she showed symptoms of having an allergic reaction for a week. The swelling has gone away, but the area where she was stung is very hard. If you squeeze the area blood comes out. Should I try digging with a needle to see if the stinger is still in there? Should we just give it time to go away?
Hello.
Thank for the query.
Sometimes the wasp sting remains in the wound.
This causes intense inflammation.
The resulting blistering and ulceration is due to this.
The sting must be removed and you need treatment with anti inflammatory and analgesics.
Thank you
