Weight Gain During Pregnancy, Loud Squishing, Tender Spot On Right Leg, Soreness, Stiffness, Moderate Pain, Slight Pop. Advise?
Hi! I'm a 41-year-old very active woman. I gained and lost a lot of weight during pregnancies (70 to 80 pounds x 4). I have a very loud squish to my knees going up and down stairs as well as squatting. Also on my right leg there is a definite tender spot just below the patella that gets tender with exercise as well as when the weather changes. I know when it is going to storm because my knee goes from a squish with no pain to a squish with a definite tender spot, soreness, stiffness, and moderate pain. what is it? Also, there is a definite slight pop and grind on full extension.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain and stiffness in the leg can be related to vitaminD3 deficiency associated with pregnancy, a local injury or an inflammation in the area. Direct examination is needed for diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
