What Are Brown Vaginal Spotting And Back Pain While On Implanon Suggestive Of?

Hi, I haven t had my period in a while, but a couple of days ago I started spotting. There was a lot of grey chunks and a lot of brown blood. I have really bad lower back pain and cramps that hurt my whole stomach. I looked it up and it said I might be miscarrying. The thing is, I took a pregnancy test and it said negative and I am on the implanon. Do you think it is just a really bad period?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Slight spotting is quite common with hormonal pills. It is due to minor hormonal changes and will settle by itself.

As of now, no definite treatment is required.

If symptoms persist you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
