What Are Effects Of Taking Two Metformin Pills On Same Day?
I am a 43 year old woman who weighs 205lbs. My doctor diagnosed me as being insulin resistant and he prescribed me to take 850 mg of Metformin. I honestly can t remember whether or not I took one of these pills tonight. Now that I remember the medicine, I m afraid to take it for fear of having already taken one. Would it be a problem if I happen to take two or should I just not take it (just in case I did already)? I don t know what to do. Thanks in advance!
Metformin belongs to the group of anti diabetic medications known as biguanide that is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and its associated complications. This medication should be taken in the dose as directed by the prescribing doctor. It is recommended that if you miss a dose of Metformin, then you should consume the next dose of Metformin at the scheduled time. You should not consume a double dose of Metformin to make up for a missed dose. If you still have any doubt, then you should consult your doctor for further information.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
