The irregular periods with hair growth is part of underlying hormone imbalance of pituitary hypothalamic axis from various reasons involving hypothalamus, pitutary or ovary apart from PCOS (as ruled out by ultrasound). Reversibility of hair growth is usually determined by the cause and response to treatment, but in majority of the cases it is reversible. Kindly provide me all details of reports available with you in PDF format or else so that after detailed study of which a further guidance chart can be curtailed ahead. Do not panic at this stage please as there are best treatment options available for almost all of the hormone imbalance issues.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
